Action Research

Action research is systematic process of researching and analyzing various aspects of an organization, and to show alternate ways of improvements. It is organized way of fact finding and problem solving. Action research goes through data gathering, analysis, action planning, action taking and evaluation.

Action Research Characteristics:

  • It starts from problem identification, its explanation and importance of the solution.
  • As the internal and external environment of an organization change: like people, technologies, market, and clients etc. Action research done for certain time period may not be applicable for changed situation, so the Action Research becomes a cyclic process.
  • Action research is collaborative approach everyone with in the organization participates in it.
  • Action research shows alternate realistic possible solutions.

  • Recommendations to management
