Organization culture is build by its employees, the way employees behave, entertain, celebrate, socialize, and the environment they do work.
Organization culture is also set by its management through organization structure, flow of communication, principles and values, procedures, policies, and rituals.
But in an organization there may be two type of culture, one is that which comes down from upper management hierarchy, second one is that which majority of employees make as per common sharing and likings.
Suppose there are hundred percent American in an organization and this organization is having some sort of culture. Assume fifty percent of Americans are replaced by fifty percent of Japanese, now culture will be of more variation. Again assume there are twenty five percent Americans, twenty five percent Japanese, twenty five percent Koreans and twenty five percent Chinese, now culture will be having far more variations.
The founder of an organization plays a big role in setting core values of organization culture. In any organization you can easily grasp the core cultural values sat by its founders.
Organization wants strategic cultural change, when the culture made by employees start having interference in their performance.
