Redesigning Emotions for Happiness

Everlasting impressions on your personality are the footprints of your – thoughts; thoughts are manifested from your emotions, and – a single thought is capable to provoke multiple emotions and can make you laugh or cry!

Emotions develop quickly, and later on manifest in thoughts. If we take an example of a child: a child’s actions inherit emotions, thoughts develop later on as child grows.

Working on thoughts is Karma, and this Karma makes impressions on you; you feel blissful, ecstatic, silent or sad.

Now, you’ll be thinking! How to control emotions? How to redesign existing emotions? The dynamic elements in emotions are a series of pictures or images, live videos that never become old for you, sounds or voices, tastes, and touches or feelings.

So, how to bring changes in emotions?  When there’s no particular impression, all the dynamic elements are far away; images are invisible, no sounds, no feelings, no taste and no smell; and when there’s impression in you, all the dynamic elements are in prominent forms.

Impressions are buried in you, you’ll have to meet those impressions while redesigning by bringing change in dynamic elements.

With open eyes and in noisy environment, there may be visual or auditory disturbance to you, so better choose a silent place and keep your eyes closed.

Now witness your feet, your ankles, your thighs, your stomach, your shoulder –witness your whole body- and mainly the parts which are more tensed; it may be your shoulders, stomach or thighs, witness with ease and comfort there is no hurry!

Now witness your relaxed eyes, and after witnessing them come to the gap of your breath; witness that – the momentary gap that exists between inhale and exhale.

The rule of nature is that whatever you don’t want, it goes away from you; and whatever you want comes to you.

Redesigning Emotions for HappinessRemind yourself again that working on thoughts is Karma and by karma you bring changes in your impressions and emotions.

Now visualize each incoming breath is touching your heart and each out going breath is going from the heart; and with each incoming breath you are forgiving yourself and with outgoing breath you are forgiving others. Keep on doing it until you feel your heart is – expanded! The physical condition of your heart will remain the same; the blockages that you are holding inside will be released.

This time, look inside your unwanted impressions, the more you’ll be aware, the more you’ll witness; the more they’ll come, and first they’ll come in thoughts form and then will turn in emotions, just witness the whole process.

You are witnessing your – emotions. Now understand this, “you are not your emotions!” You can witness them, and can see the whole process ,i.e., how they are created? How they left impact on your physiology? Increase your awareness and witness more and more, check the manifestation process of each emotion; what causes them to be created like that?

Changes in dynamic elements of emotions come by awareness and witnessing: that increases the depth of understanding; an understanding that relieves you from ignorance; that ignorance is the mother of all problems!

    so basically…we can evn take control of the karma dat we perform over the thoughts n impressions…evn much aftr those thoughts r accumulated…?
    changes in dynamic elements…as in…changing a negative picture in2 a positive one…a kind of total subsitution of the earlier frame by the one we actually want..?

    All the efforts are are required to ‘manage | burn | erase ‘ this accumulated karma. If there were no pending accounts, we would have been free to exercise our will without any obstacles. So we can take control of karma that has been performed over thoughts and impressions in the past.

    Changes in dynamic elements, if possible, can be of great-great help. There is a story about Buddha. He won over male instinct to feel attracted towards the temporary beauty of women by changing the pictures of women in his imagination to crooked bitches. As soon as he succeeded in controlling the waves of lust in his mind, he could ‘witness’ women in his daily life without any ‘judgment’.   • @Kamal,right said ! For me Gotama Buddha, was a great spiritual scientist. He took all the risks & danger, did experiments again and again…and lastly – enlightened !

    A spiritual seeker has to take a scientific approach.. only difference is that seeker has been looking inwards.. s/he investigates the inner processes … to know self is better than studying the stars in the sky and quarks in quantum physics.. that’s what a spiritual seeker learns at one point of life.. even those engaged in these practices! In the absence of a scientific approach, doubts and fear will surface as often as situations in the outer world change their color and smell.
