Right Steps for Organization Change

Every organization is different from another. Steps that may be appropriate to one organization may not be appropriate to another organization. Organization change must have enough flexibility so that changes could occur smoothly.

Below is some common organization change steps they can be minimized of maximized as per the organization needs.

Set foundation of change:

The very first thing to calculate is to know the pros and cons of changes. Like who will gain the most and who will loose the most, loosing may be emotional issues to employees who may not want change.

Communicate the need of change across organization:

To communicate need of the change is very important, it will help in two ways, first it will prepare people to adjust with changes and second it will give value to the people that they are being considered. Also changed leaders should be built. Apart from communicating change need advice and insight also seek from employees.

Identify and remove blocks to change:

Blocks to change are those factors which show their influence on an organization like politics. Politics issues may be within organization or may be induced by the external bodies. Some outside political people or parties may contact employees and may try to manipulate the management for their influence. Apart from politics and labor union there is not other big road block.

Communicating and convincing become very important, need of good leaders thus become very crucial so that they can change any blocks into the catalyst of change.

Implement change activities:

Whatever changes an organization wants in structures, systems, people and resources should be implement now.

Take feedback:

Taking feedback during implementation and after change is very necessary; Most of the time feedback determines the positive or negative impact of changes.

Absorb changes into organization:

Absorbing change is also very important, all the changes things must be practiced continuously until people’s mind get adjusted to change and they start doing it automatically.
