33 Hindu Goddesses or Deities

Male Energy represents to God and Female Energy represents to Goddess, Shiva & Shakti, Yang & Yin, and Animus & Anima — whatever you say.  The left part of a human body represents to female energy and right part represents to male energy, when these two get balanced, the harmonious existence takes place. In India, in ancient time spirituality was so developed, a man used to call a woman – mother and a woman used to call a man – father. The reason is, they were respecting the energies, and were feeling divinity in each other.

Feminine Energy is the source of creation of everything; it gives all the materialistic and spiritualistic elements. It nourishes, it gives safety and protection, and it gives prosperity and enlightenment. Please, go through to all the Goddesses, and see how do they help and support in each and everything.

The Hindu word for Goddess is – Devi.

Goddesses of Seven (7) Chakras

  • Dakini for Muladhara or Base or Root, Chakra
  • Shakini for Swadhisthan or Spleen, Chakra
  • Lakini for Manipur or Solar Plexus, Chakra
  • Kakini for Anahata or Heart, Chakra
  • Rakini for Vishuddhi or Throat, Chakra
  • Hakini for Ajna or Agya or Third Eye, Chakra
  • Maha-Shakti for Sahastrasar or Crown, Chakra

Seven (7), well known Goddesses

  • Durga: she is warrior Goddess, Durga gives safety and protection.
  • Lakshmi: she is the Goddess of wealth, Lakshmi gives prosperity.
  • Saraswati: she is the Goddess of wisdom and knowledge, Saraswati gives the spiritual and worldly knowledge.
  • Parvati: she is popular as the wife of Shiva.
  • Ganga: she is the Goddess of river Ganga.
  • Seeta or Sita: she is known as wife or Ram, and counts in Goddesses.
  • Radha: she is also known as wife of Krishna, and she too counts in Goddesses.

Mahavidya, Ten (10) Goddesses

The Mahavidyas are Maha Sadhanas for each of 10 Goddesses, and these Sadhanas can only be learned from a Guru, who himself already has gone through these Sadhanas. No printed book doesn’t guarantee for right guidelines, in fact everything is much commercialized these days.

The story or the images of Goddess, you see in the pictures, like of killing and much blood-shed by Devi or Goddess – this is not actual, but this is just representation. Goddess doesn’t need to kill anybody, the Demon is not outside, it is inside, and when we worship Goddess – she kills our inner Demon.

Navadurga, Nine (9) Goddesses

The main worship time of nine Goddesses come twice in a year for eighteen (18) days, nine (9) days each time. And, it is considered most sacred and holy time period. So, every Goddess has two (2) special days in a year.
