1. Consciousness is Brahman

2. I am Brahman

3. That Thou Art

4. This Self is Brahman

Before understanding these affirmations, it is better to know, what is a Brahman? Brahman means here doesn’t mean for caste, religion or any group.

Brahman means: eternal, pure, unchanging, infinite, unborn, and it is omnipresent, omnipotent and omniscient.

We witness our thoughts, emotions, feelings, body, sensations … memory etc. The one, who witness is “consciousness”, this is only real and eternal. Else, are the projections that look real but aren’t.

Consciousness is Brahman

Only consciousness can be Brahman; our body, thoughts and memory aren’t the Brahman, because they are temporary, decaying and changeable.

I am Brahman

I am Brahman because I am consciousness. I am Brahman because I witness. I am Brahman because I can see how the body changes? How the emotions are created and end? How the thoughts come and go?

That Thou Art

I am that (Brahman) and you are that (Brahman); only Brahman exists.

This Self is Brahman

The self which lives in the body is a Brahman, and this self exists in every human being. That is not self, is not Brahman, isn’t truth, isn’t eternal.

Recite these affirmations for Liberation

I took these affirmations from Upanishads, and it is being said – one who recites them are free from unreal identity and when deep understanding takes place that person gets liberation.
