“You are God, you are everywhere and in everything, nothing is separate from you; you are unstained, ever pure, unborn and eternal” — say Upanishads.
But, how to realize that?
There are number of meditation techniques that take considerate time to make you realize that.
Here, I am suggesting a technique from Vigyan Bharav Tantra, if you do as the technique says, you can realize ‘who am I?’
It says—
(1).The consciousness of each person is your consciousness.
(2). Apart from this consciousness, nothing exists.
(3). Be this one.
How simple is that? Isn’t it?
The consciousness is not mind, it is not feelings and emotions, neither is the body and five senses – the consciousness is that, which witnesses everything. And this is real ‘you’. But due to association with mind and body you feel you are the body – but it isn’t the truth.
The consciousness of each person is your consciousness
Le the other person disappear and let only the consciousness remain. Don’t see other person as of stranger, friend, enemy, and relatives or loved one. Don’t see the appearances – let them fall. Just feel other person’s consciousness is your consciousness, this is the truth and believe on it.
Apart from this consciousness, nothing exists
Before and after consciousness nothing exists, consciousness is whole; between two persons, or among many – it is the same.
Be this one
Feel this and become this; that you are the consciousness in each and everything and nothing is separate from you.
Obstacles in doing this technique
