Infected food ruins the body – we all know this; when we have no food to eat and feel hungry, then eat anything whatever we find; just try to see the poor children (below the poverty line), to quench burning hunger they look into dust-bin or junk without any problem. Even, they get fatal diseases, but no solution for hunger, what to do!
Same way, when we don’t have right things to think (and do), we start thinking something “negative,” and fall in depression. Actually, no one wants to think “negative” but in the absence of “positive thoughts,” any thoughts (negative or waste) can come.
There are following ways to avoid depression
1. Note down all the things whatever you are thinking these days, and rewrite them in positive sense.
2. Think about God as an awesome source of love and positive energy, and connect with God (via thoughts) as you remember (or might have remembered) your beloved. Thinking about God is called “Yog,” in this “Yogic” state take (by visualization) all the qualities from God, which you want to possess within.
3. Check yourself in morning, afternoon and at night – whether you are thinking positive or not. Take it as serious as a person takes medicines three times a day.
4. Avoid much talk with the people who think “negative” or “waste,” just do needful talks with them.
5. Leave watching horror movies, bad music and too much company with electronic gadgets.
6. Have a walk in morning and evening, prefer natural and clean places, eat natural foods and enjoy the company of plants and flowers.
7. Just think what you want in your life, and never think what you don’t want in life. Whatever you think it creates; you think negative you suffer depression; you think positive you feel the bliss.

Because depression seems to be a big deal right now, this post is very timely. I appreciate the suggestions provided.
I’d also like to add that perspective and how we react to what is happening around us are very important skills to master. Believe me, many things are beyond our control. However, we ALWAYS chose how we respond.
