There are some reasons and signs of depression, or maybe the foreshadow of depression. Here are two lists one for “reasons” and second for “signs.”
Reasons for Depression
Thinking negative:
Thinking or feeling negative attracts not only depression but also to misfortune. And is a great obstacle in success and feeling happy.Feeling jealous:
Unhealthy comparison brings jealousy. Like, why someone is more beautiful than me? Or, why someone has more money than me? Comparison brings unnecessary conflicts in life; one needs to avoid it.No goals and vision in life:
Without them, the reason to live becomes futile as well interests also fade away.Controlling others:
When this thought “one should act and do things my way” comes, a tension between two people start building. Everyone loves freedom, and everyone has the right to live freely. The thought of “controlling other” starts building itself when we are too much obsessed with somebody.Suppression:
Suppressed feelings destroy emotional and spiritual health. It is the biggest cause of depression, anxiety and anger. Suppressed feelings need to be released, this “release” is as important as to take “breath” to live.Feeling inferior:
It is due to low self-image or self-worth, and this is just an illusion. Though nobody is superior and inferior; it is just a projection of mind – and both are dangerous.Lack of expression:
Unexpressed feelings keep on coming again and again, and a person becomes self-talker. It may ramify into “inferiority” or “suppression.”Unorganized life style:
It creates confusion that what to do and when to do, and nothing happen efficiently and timely.Lack of will power:
Without will power, no strength comes in life, and a person works according other’s whims and whips. This is the greatest failure of life.
Signs of Depression
Feeling confused.
Lack of interest in doing the things.
Crying and feeling low most of the time.
Frequent mood swing.
Unhealthy taste and preferences.
Sudden distrust in others (without any proof).
Unproductive time pass.
There may be more signs than these are, depend upon individual’s life style and psychological conditioning. Like during depression, some people becomes too cleanliness conscious, they keep on washing hands frequently or brushing their teeth – it depends person to person.
