Witnessing meditation, a natural way for better sleep

This is the second part for better sleep. Hope, you have read two earlier articles "problems due to lack of sleep (link)," and "Mantra, a good way for better sleep (link)."

In witnessing meditation, we don’t use any mantra (like we did) or any visualization (we’ll do in next), this alone is powerful.

Know your breath first

Breath is connected to our thoughts; whenever thoughts change, breaths also change; whenever breaths change, thoughts also change. There is connection between them; both are dependent on each other.

You needn’t control anything

Neither you need to control thoughts nor to the breaths; leave them as they are, just do nothing with them.

Witness the breath

Just witness the breath of whatever type it is; if it is shallow, witness it, do nothing; if it is deep, witness it, do nothing. The "key" is to witness; more you witness the breaths, more the thoughts will come in control without controlling. Please, don’t remember it: "thoughts will come in control without controlling." Forget it, otherwise, it’ll only come to you, and you’ll think thoughts are not coming in my control what to do. At night, when you want to sleep, just start witnessing the breath, and keep on witnessing, after few minutes, say 15-20 minutes, you’ll be more relaxed than before and will sleep easily.
