We can’t change a person by putting things over his head, and if we do this way, change will become a "torture," and that person will eat you alive. But we can effort to change in easy way, and I don’t think there is any better procedure than that.

Understand a person.

Show the right ways.

Let him choose.

This is the essential requirement for change to understand a person completely, like what he thinks, feels, acts, reacts, make plans and do things; what are his deep and shallow desires and needs – all about him, to the extent it might possible. The thing is, unless we aren’t in tune with a person it is hard to understand him.

When we understand that person, then we can show the right ways efficiently. And, right ways should be "right" without convincing that person; otherwise it will look like the game of manipulation. And next thing is let him "choose," because everyone is wise to see the clear things. And the choice when one makes without any impulsion or condition goes last long.
