Why shallow breathing is not good for spiritual health?

For spiritual health, I mean health of both mind and body, when both are healthy, the seed of spirituality blossoms itself – spirituality, the self realization just needs right kind of environment.

Breaths and thoughts are interconnected; change in breaths cause change in thoughts and change in thoughts cause changes in breath. That’s why self realization is possible through Yoga and Pranayam by controlling and regulating the breaths, because breath is connected with thoughts. And, going beyond thoughts or say to be in thoughtless is the requirement of self-realization.

Shallow breaths are concerned with the unease state of the mind and thoughts. Shallow breath is connected with all sorts of phobias, fears, anger, anxiety, tension and depression. When you take shallow breath just check the state of your mind and emotions. Shallow breathing is also not good for intake of oxygen; both mind and livers need plenty of oxygen to work efficiently.

So, whenever you want to reduce the effects of bad emotions and thoughts, just start taking long, deep and relaxed breaths for few minutes.
