Thoughtless Photo: Ben Heine

A thought doesn’t have any power in itself. Your beliefs, your faiths in the thoughts make them powerful – and thoughts become the things. And, your consciousness becomes conditioned; therefore, a mind comes in existence. Mind is just a phenomenon of the conditioned consciousness. Un-condition … un-clutch yourself from all the positive and negative beliefs, then mind will disappear and Buddhahood will appear.

A thought, that is powerful to you, may be powerless to others – all depend upon how each one of us has beliefs and faiths in the thoughts. But, each one of us is neither the beliefs nor the thoughts, isn’t it? Because, we have the capability to remove or attach beliefs to any thought.

Then, who we are?

Can you claim your Buddhahood? Now!

There was a man, who used to worship Krishna like anything. And, Krishna used to come and play with him – awesome affair between a devotee and the God. Yet, something was lacking, the Guru wasn’t there to tell what is dream and what is real.

That man got Raman Maharshi as his Guru, and still he used to play with Krishna. Once, Maharshi asked him about the affair, he told that he was playing with Krishna. Maharshi looked into his eyes then asked "Who is the seeker?" That was the teaching "Who is the seeker?" What comes and goes, even the Krishna is just a dream, what doesn’t remain eternal is just a dream. The experiences, the thinking, the emotions, the memory – all are dreams. They all come and go. The seeker is not a dream, the seeker witnesses everything, the witness, is everything. Call it Self, Atman, infinite or God. Later on that man got Self Realized. The sentence "Who is the seeker?" opened the gateway of enlightenment.

These animals are those, who do all sorts of crime at physical, emotional and mental level – without a thought, what will happen to others (and to them also). The scale between a human and an animal varies, some are 80% animals and some are 60% humans. And, some unfortunately cross all the scale of animalistic acts.

The factor that drives a person either to be human or an animal is worth considering. This factor is the connection between the body and spirit (Atman). The wider the connection it would be, more human a person is bound to turn, because he would live in spirit consciousness. If this connection is “0″ the person would live more in body consciousness, and would run after body related things.

If yes, just hold onto that which is making you pissing off; don’t try to forget that trigger that causes you to be pissed off. Because if you forget that trigger somehow, again, this trigger will catch you with your feet and throw you against the wall and you will become the creature of conditional reflexes.

Break this programming

Whatever you experience through your emotions, feeling, thinking – you are not that. Because you know them, and knower is different from the known. All the experiences exist in duality; one side you, the subject that witnesses everything. And, the other side the objects: your feelings, emotions and memory. Without the subject to know the objects is impossible. If you understand the difference between the subject and object, you can break this programming to be pissed off.

This way

Become the subject. And then invite all the “triggers” that used to cause you to be pissed off, and watch whatever happens to the objects. Do it with all the triggers, and watch the object from start to finish. You will find that the objects are the transient, they come and go, and the subject remains unmoved, unchanged in the background, witnessing everything. The subject is like the ocean; the objects are like the waves, those appear and disappear. The subject is like the sky; the objects are like the clouds. When you understand that the objects are like the clouds and waves, totally different from you. You break this conditioning. Even if, somehow the waves arise, you remain unchanged in your subjectivity.

You throw them, they come again; you give them to someone, they bounce back. The more you think about them, more they stick with you. And, your promises and affirmations to yourself go waste. You lose!

Your identification with the limitations and weaknesses is the problem. Actually, they never existed. You believed in some illusion and a Ghost appeared in front of you.

Whatever you can objectify, it isn’t you. Guru repeats, “Whatever you can objectify, it isn’t you.” The moment you objectify your limitations and weaknesses, they become separate from you. Now, you just need to think about this separation; that’s all. The game is finished! Don’t stress about your limitations and weakness, just widen this separation. Remember, you are not that; only thing happened was just – you forgot the separation. Widen the separation and enjoy your real essence. They moment you will separate them, they will disappear.

You can know things only in duality. Isn’t it (think upon it)? As soon as you say, “I’m this,” or “This is mine,” or “This is my experience,” you start objectifying and only in duality you can objectify something.

You can only know “What you aren’t,” but you can never know “What you are!” This is important (very!) to understand. Subject can know only to objects, whatever you know it becomes the object: your mind, your thoughts, your emotions, your feelings, your love, your hate, your actions… body, memory, etc., all are objects. You are none of them. You are the subject, witnessing everything. And, to remain fixed forever in this subjectivity is called – Self realization.

If you say, you know yourself; you are putting yourself in illusion, in the projections of the mind. You are neither the mind nor its projections. Wake up!

This Lion is your mind; if it is uncontrolled — it rides over you and makes you suffer. The Devi is the energy, which controls the mind, when this energy isn’t taken care of, the Lion starts riding over you.

When Devi, this energy, is strong it tames the Lion and uses it. The weapons in the Devi’s hand show the awareness and the demons she kills are the thoughts; whenever the thoughts arise, with the awareness, Devi kills the thoughts.

The Devi, this energy is none other than the power which drives your mind and body, which is the source of everything; which takes care of you while you are in dreaming, sleeping or in wakeful state. Serve this Devi well, if you want to take control of your thoughts; otherwise, Lion is capable to make much havoc.

Truth is always there, you just need to discriminate what is "untruth." You are already God, you just need to catch and kill the devil that is inside you.

Buddha discriminated between what is transitory and what is eternal and remained fixed with eternal. Mahavir discriminated between what is real and what is unreal, and stood naked with the reality. Krishna asked Arjuna to discriminate between truth and untruth and to kill the relatives. Raman Maharshi’s teachings of "Who am I?" is based on discrimination. Nisargadatta Maharaj used to say "Find out, what you are not?" Jaggi Vasudev in a conversation with Shekhar Kapoor says, people don’t discriminate well. And, when Mahatma Gandhi used to feel weaker and uncomfortable in discrimination and judgments, he used to read Bhagavad Gita.

There are hundreds and thousands of teachings, statements of the Sages that only say judge and discriminate properly. Spirituality can’t evolve without discrimination; only the different paths, different groups and different religions can be made without discrimination, where one group thinks oneself superior and inferior to others. And, each group pull the leg of the public that we are the best – join us!

Love Photo: useitinfo

You saw once, got hooked in and fell in love. Then what happens to this love after some time, after few months or may be after few years. Hooked off! It is strange what you never get, you remain hooked in and what you get … later on you become hooked off. Well, this is not love; love never exists in transition. The love stories: “I’m in love,” to “I’m broke off,” show the hooked in and hooked off scenario. This is not love sweetheart!

Love never appears nor disappears (yes, lust and some expectations are!), much like the truth it is ever present, ever flowing within your own sweet “heart,” and in the “cave of your heart” the real lover exists, which ever waits you to return to it; it never deceives, it never lies, it never betrays – when you return to it, the eternal romance happens.

The external lovers are the projection of the mind and exist in transition, they will leave you one day. External lover is uncertain; what you get, you are bound to lose – this is “fact.”

Your real Self is your real lover, and this lover is beyond the mind, time and appearances; when your mind falls back to your own Self, the timeless romance happens; where, there is only bliss and ecstasy. Like the Meera fell in love with Krishna; Krishna is none other than the real Self (the Atman) … like the Chantanya Mahaprabhu fell in love with his own Self. The Self is the real lover; it is the truth, God and everything.

As a person keeps on progressing on spiritual path, his body starts radiating some energy. More he progresses, more his body radiates. But, the body has nothing of its own. And, why the body of everybody doesn’t radiate?

The reason is simple.

A mirror can reflect the rays of the sun, but a stone can’t. A spiritual person starts becoming cleaner and purer and nothing remains in his mind and memory, and when the rays of Godhood come from the universe and fall over him, his body simply reflects them, because there in nothing to hold on … to stick on. Whereas, when the rays of Godhood coming from the universe, fall over the ordinary person, he takes them, drink them and absorb within and doesn’t reflect.
