Throughout the world, use of incense sticks are common in homes, offices, temples and religious places. Everything commercialized in the name of God isn’t good and harmful chemicals, never.
The incense sticks made up of chemicals are cheap – due to low cost production – but may give high cost diseases. Their smoke and fume never purify the environment but make worse, their smell may look good, but it never makes sense as far as health is concerned.
The natural or herbal incense sticks, on the otherhand are made up of natural elements, and their cost is bit high than chemical incense. It is impossible if Hindus do some rituals and forget Ganesha. Ganesha comes first, even before his father Shiv.
The story goes like: Parvati created a child just by her will-power and told him to stand on the gate and not let anybody come in. The father wasn’t aware of this, he came and son refused to let him in and with rage father cut-off his head. And later on knowing the whole story from Parvati, he revived the son, by putting a fresh head of an elephant on his body. Now, son became with a head of an elephant and rest body of a human.
This word "Shradh" is derived from Shraddha, which means faith or respect to someone. After the death of a person this ritual is celebrated every year, in his remembrance, love, worship or whatever one thinks appropriate.
In India, usually a person is invited and offered food and gifts, considering the departed soul within that person.
But this isn’t enough.
Lighting lamp or candle means invocation of particular God, Deity or Guru. Light itself represent God. Scriptures say God is light, spiritual knowledge is light, and light shows higher vibrations.
